About the Author –
Born and raised in a broken home, I learned early that if my life was going to change, it would require faith, discipline, and courage. Surrounded by hardship and negativity, I searched for something steady, something that could ground me when the world felt unstable. That foundation became my faith in Jesus Christ.
Determined to create a different future for myself and my younger siblings, I committed myself wholeheartedly to growth. I poured energy into academics, community service, mentoring youth, athletics, and work which often helped to support my family, while continually strengthening my walk with God. My perseverance bore fruit when I graduated high school as valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA and more than twelve college scholarship offers, becoming the first in my family to do so.
Four years later, I graduated from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University with numerous honors, including four consecutive years on the Honor Roll and Dean’s List, Magna Cum Laude distinction, and recognition as Top Scholar for the College of Agricultural, Life, and Natural Sciences. Yet beyond accolades, my deepest passion remained empowering others to believe in their God-given potential.
Just twelve days after my twenty-seventh birthday, tragedy struck when my mother was taken through a senseless act of violence. The loss shattered me deeply and in such an unimaginable way. The light and hope that once guided my steps seemed to fade as grief consumed my heart. For months, life stood still. Sleep was scarce, prayers were tear-soaked, and words failed me as I wrestled with sorrow, silence, and unanswered questions.
In time, God gently shifted my perspective. Instead of restoring what once was, God reminded me of what had always been within: my voice, my purpose, and my calling. From that place of brokenness, healing began. And from that healing, a story was born.
My first published work of fiction, Voiceless, and shortly thereafter Hope Never Dies, were written for those who feel unseen, unheard, or overwhelmed by life’s weight. Together, they offer readers a safe space to process pain, rediscover hope, and reconnect with purpose. Through storytelling, I seek to inspire others to rise, dream boldly, and invest fully in the gifts God has placed within them.
With God’s grace, I stand boldly as the Founder and CEO of A Writer’s Hope LLC, a writing, editing, and publishing company devoted to helping others bring their visions to life. Through faith, creativity, and compassion, I continue to use words as a bridge from pain to purpose, and from silence to hope.
